SCARS ON BROADWAY: Oslo Show Cancelled
September 9, 2008SCARS ON BROADWAY — the new band led by SYSTEM OF A DOWN guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan — was forced to cancel its performance at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway earlier tonight (Tuesday, September 9) after Malakian came down with a throat infection. Dolmayan apologized to the Norwegian fans during an interview with the radio show "Pyro" (web site) and explained that "Daron's voice is almost completely gone." He added, "We hade the choice to cancel the show tonight rather than face the possibility of having to cancel the rest of the tour. I promise all of you we will do everything we can to come back as soon as possible, and we will definitely be back for the festival season next summer."
"World Long Gone", the new video from SCARS ON BROADWAY, can be viewed below. The clip was helmed by the award-winning Joel Schumacher who directed major motion pictures including the Brat Pack classic "St. Elmo's Fire", as well as "The Lost Boys", John Grishman's "The Client" and "A Time to Kill", the cardiac thriller "Flatliners", and the controversial drama "Falling Down" starring Michael Douglas. The video was shot on August 19 at a desolate Southern California desert location, near Vasquez Rocks in Agua Dulce, where countless feature films and television series have been shot, including "Star Trek", "Planet of the Apes", "Twilight Zone", and "24". The video also has a cameo appearance by supermodel Jessica Miller.
